What Customers See
When a product is out of stock, customers can still see the product, but it is marked as ‘sold out’ and they are unable to order. ‘Chip Barm’ is shown below as an example.

Best Practices
Mark out promptly - As soon as you realize you've run out
Don't forget to unmark - When you restock, make it available again!
Check daily - Review stock status at start of each service

Common Questions
What happens if I forget to mark an item back in stock?
Customers won't be able to order it even though you have it available. You may miss out on sales - set a reminder to check your out-of-stock items at the start of each service.

How quickly does the change take effect?
Immediately! Customers browsing right now will see the change within seconds.

Do I need to mark things out of stock at the end of each day?
No - only mark items out when you've actually run out or can't make them. If you'll have the item available tomorrow, leave it as "in stock."

Can I schedule items to automatically come back in stock?
No - you'll need to manually mark items back in stock when they're available again. We recommend checking your stock status at the start of each service (lunch, dinner).

What if I'm running low but not completely out?
You can either leave it available until it runs out, or mark it out of stock now to avoid disappointing customers. It's better to mark out early than to take orders you can't fulfill.

Can I mark entire categories out of stock at once?
Not directly - you'll need to mark each item individually, but you can use the bulk actions feature to select multiple items at once and mark them all out together. You can also disable a category in one go so that it no longer appears on the menu: Categories > Click the relevant category > Untick Enabled > Save

Should I mark items out of stock or delete them?
Only delete items if you're permanently removing them from your menu forever. Out of stock is reversible with one click - deletion is permanent. You can disable products on your menu that you want
