Need to stop taking orders temporarily? Do it yourself instantly.
When to Pause Orders
- Equipment breakdown (fryer down, oven not working)
- Short-staffed emergency
- Temporary closure (power cut, etc.)
Note that we recommend that you manage waiting times or use order slot functionality rather than pause orders when the kitchen is overwhelmed with existing orders.
Pausing orders means:
- New orders are blocked - customers can't place orders
- Existing orders still need to be completed
- Custom message displayed, e.g.: 'Due to overwhelming demand, we are currently not accepting orders'
Best Practices:
- DON'T FORGET TO RESUME - Set a timer reminder!
- Complete existing orders before resuming to avoid further backlog
- Communicate with customers if you'll be closed for extended period (1+ hours)
- Use the custom message to tell customers when you'll be back

- Go to the dashboard
- Click Store Settings under STORE CONFIGURATION using the Navigation Bar
- Click Order Capacity
- Tick/Untick 'Shop Paused Status' to pause/unpause orders
- Optional: Enter a custom message (e.g., 'Back in 30 minutes')
- Click Save
